After growing up in Phoenix, Arizona, Carolyn finished college at the University of Arizona, then began her career in New Home Sales in 1988 in Tucson. She attributes her success and her early understanding of New Home Sales to her mentor, Richard. As a result, coaching and mentoring have always been a important focus throughout her career. After 10 years as a New Home Sales counselor, Carolyn began her Sales and Marketing management career and has been a Vice President of Sales and Marketing for national home builders such as Morrison Homes, Beazer Homes and most recently, D.R. Horton.
During the last 9 years, Carolyn has created sales training materials and has accomplished sales goals successfully through planning, coaching and working directly with her sales teams. In addition to sales, Carolyn also has experience in Operations, Land Acquisition, Home Plan Designs and Forecasts/Budgets for Homebuilding companies. Her passion for New Home Sales Associates, Home Builders and the home buying public was the driving force behind creating The Selling Edge. Although Carolyn has achieved great success, she will tell you time and time again that her son, John Wayne (14 yrs old) is her greatest accomplishment and the “light of her life”.
